About Walmart Personal Shopping Service

Walmart Personal Shoppers handle the growing wave of delivery and pickup orders placed through the Walmart app and website — not just groceries but general merchandise including electronics, home goods, clothing, and seasonal items. Unlike OGP associates who focus primarily on grocery, Personal Shoppers fill complex multi-department orders that require navigating the entire store, making real-time substitution decisions, and staging diverse product types that range from frozen food to furniture accessories in a single customer order.

Position Overview

Walmart is hiring Personal Shoppers to fulfill multi-department customer orders placed through the Walmart app and website at Supercenter locations. You will shop the entire store filling orders that span grocery, general merchandise, electronics, apparel, and home goods — selecting items with the same care and judgment a customer would use shopping for themselves.

Key Responsibilities

• Fill multi-department customer orders navigating the entire Supercenter using the Walmart fulfillment handheld device.
• Select quality products across grocery, GM, apparel, electronics, and home departments with customer-level care and freshness judgment.
• Make intelligent substitution decisions when ordered items are out of stock, selecting comparable alternatives customers will appreciate.
• Stage completed orders in designated holding areas organized by pickup time slot and delivery carrier assignment.
• Maintain pick rate speed targets while preserving accuracy and product quality across diverse merchandise categories.

Qualifications & Benefits

Must be 16+ years of age. No prior retail experience required — Walmart trains you on the fulfillment system and pick procedures. Strong product knowledge across multiple store departments develops quickly on the job. Must walk extensively and lift up to 50 lbs.
