About Walmart Sales Floor Operations

Sales Floor Associates are the heart of the in-store Walmart experience — the friendly faces customers turn to when they cannot find the right size, need help comparing products, or want to know if something is in stock. Covering departments from apparel and home goods to sporting goods and seasonal, sales floor associates keep their zones merchandised, organized, and shoppable while providing the kind of helpful, knowledgeable service that turns a routine shopping trip into a positive experience worth repeating.

Position Overview

Walmart is hiring Sales Floor Associates to maintain merchandise presentation and provide customer assistance across assigned store departments. You will zone and recover your department area, assist customers with product questions and location guidance, process price changes and markdowns, and restock shelves from backroom inventory throughout your shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Zone and recover your assigned department maintaining full shelf facings, proper product placement, and clean aisle presentation.
• Assist customers with product questions, size availability, price checks, and directions to other store departments.
• Restock shelves from backroom bins and pallets, working through daily freight to keep products available for customers.
• Process price changes, clearance markdowns, and feature display setups following home office merchandising directives.
• Conduct section work scanning shelf labels to identify and resolve outs, mods, and inventory discrepancies in your area.

Qualifications & Benefits

Must be 16+ years of age. No prior retail or sales experience required. Friendly attitude and willingness to help customers essential. Must stand and walk for full shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
